Coolspotters

So I jumped on the Twilight bandwagon recently even though I swore I wouldn't. I read all four books plus the unfinished fifth manuscript in under a week; with that under my belt the movie was the next step.

I'm not gonna lie, the movie was much too short for my taste but c'est la vie. My point though, is the fashions in the movie weren't half bad. They actually suited the characters. Usually I don't pay much attention to the costuming, but the theatre student in me started to bare itself again (it's been in hiding for a few years...) so I thought I'd hop online and exercise my google-fu to see if I could find any of the fashions from the flick.

Obviously, many folks before me have done this so it wasn't challenging. (too bad since I like a good tough task) but, what I did find was a pretty nifty website.

Occasionally I peruse Perez Hilton, ok...who am I kidding I read the blog most mornings before I start work, along with RSS feeds from the BBC to balance out my brain rot, but again, I digress. I really enjoy seeing the fashions that are on current celebs but I get frustrated with the fact I can't figure out the labels (and it doesn't help that most of them I can't find them here in Canada - Toronto or let alone Calgary!) So....to me, this website is rather nifty. Not only can I sift through images of celebs but I can check out the brands and fashions they love and then comb the stores out here to see if I can find those covettable items.

Bringing it all back to Twilight - I actually like the style of Kristen Stewart - and you also can't go wrong with Robert Pattinson (I have a highschool girl crush on him!) Although she's young surprisingly she's got a good grasp on classy but edgy style. Definitely lovin' that Balenciaga dress from the LA premiere of the movie, but also diggin' the leather jacket/skinny jeans and chucks combo. Its not something I can pull off, but hey...it works for her.

I think it might be time for me to rock my Chucks again...
